Petit Pas Takes First Steps in “Drops of Sustainable Development” Project

Petit Pas is thrilled to announce its participation in the “Drops of Sustainable Development” project, a vital initiative aimed at fostering sustainability skills and knowledge across Europe. The project’s ambitious goals include enhancing the competence of 120 educators in teaching sustainability through the TEAL methodology, empowering 180 adults to adopt more sustainable lifestyles, and improving the quality of teaching within 30 organizations by integrating environmental sustainability into their educational programs.

The project’s implementation phase is packed with activities, including research and analysis, 18 validation workshops with target groups, 24 local pilot tests, an international training event in Zaragoza, Spain, the creation of a stakeholder register, the publication of 6 articles on Erasmus project platforms, and 6 multiplier events across partner countries to disseminate project results.

The expected outcomes are substantial. The project will deliver a comprehensive guide on European best practices in sustainable development education and the TEAL methodology, a toolkit with course modules for educators on environmental sustainability via TEAL, and an e-learning platform for continuous educator training. Interactive simulation exercises for adults will further enhance engagement. A Learning, Teaching, Training Activity (LTTA) in Spain will equip educators and staff with essential skills and knowledge.

Petit Pas recently joined the project partners for the first transnational meeting held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania on October 27th. The meeting proved highly productive, covering crucial aspects of the project, including:

  • Project Management & Administrative Requirements (Partnership Agreements, Budget, Reporting)
  • Quality & Monitoring Plan
  • Work Plan & Deliverables
  • Dissemination & Stakeholder Involvement
  • Toolkit and Content Development
  • Interactive Exercises & Platform
  • Learning/Training/Teaching Activity (LTTA) in Spain
  • Planning for the next transnational meeting

Discussions during the meeting focused on key work packages. Petit Pas contributed to discussions on mapping, research, and surveys, specifically focusing on best practices and the translation phase. Other partners addressed topics such as dissemination, quality control, toolkit development, e-learning platforms, interactive simulations, and multiplier events.

Petit Pas is excited to be part of this impactful project and looks forward to contributing to its success in promoting sustainability and empowering individuals and organizations to create positive change. Stay tuned for further updates on the “Drops of Sustainable Development” project!
