Trani Launches “Drops of Sustainability” with Successful Stakeholder Event

Trani, Italy – February 26, 2025 – The inaugural local stakeholder event for the “Drops of Sustainability” project was a resounding success at the Trani Municipal Library, held in conjunction with the popular Language Café. This event marked a crucial step in the project’s mission to foster sustainability and community engagement through the innovative TEAL methodology.

The “Drops of Sustainability” project aims to elevate awareness of environmental issues and empower local action towards a more sustainable future. Utilizing the TEAL (Technology Enhanced Active Learning) methodology, the project seeks to transform how sustainability is taught and practiced. The stakeholder event convened a diverse group of Trani residents, including organizations, adults, and young people, to discuss the project’s objectives and explore collaborative opportunities.

The event’s location within the vibrant atmosphere of the Municipal Library, combined with the inclusive spirit of the Language Café, provided a unique and engaging environment. Participants engaged in dynamic discussions on sustainable practices, exchanged ideas for future initiatives, and forged valuable connections.

About Drops of Sustainability:

The “Drops of Sustainability” project aims to achieve the following:

Elevate Educator Competence: Enhance the ability of 120 educators to teach sustainability skills using the TEAL methodology.
Empower Adult Sustainability: Enable 180 adults to adopt more sustainable lifestyles, focusing on consumption habits and promoting healthier living for broader societal change.
Enhance Organizational Teaching Quality: Integrate environmental sustainability into the educational and training initiatives of 30 organizations.
Project Implementation:

The project will be implemented through a series of activities, including:

Research and analysis.
18 validation workshops with target groups.
24 local pilot tests.
A 3-day International Training in Zaragoza, Spain.
Creation of a stakeholder register.
Publication of 6 articles on Erasmus project platforms.
6 multiplier events in partner countries to disseminate project results.
Expected Project Results:

The project anticipates delivering:

A comprehensive guide on Europe’s best practices in sustainable development education and TEAL methodology.
A toolkit with course modules for educators on environmental sustainability via TEAL.
An e-learning platform for continuous educator training and interactive simulation exercises for adults.
A Learning, Teaching, Training Activity (LTTA) in Spain, to equip educators and staff with essential skills and knowledge.
This event has set the stage for a collaborative and impactful journey towards a more sustainable Trani.
